Adam Rohde

Adam brings practical, real-world experience from a combined 18 years in prefabricated/off-site construction and conventional general contracting. His professional passion is galvanizing stakeholder alignment to further the adoption and deployment of prefabricated and modular building solutions. 

Prior to Axis, he served as Sustainable Living Innovations’ (SLI) first Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, he oversaw the critical integration of cross-industry functions. His responsibilities encompassed product development, procurement, manufacturing, site acquisition, field assembly, and building operations, all geared toward advancing the mission of sustainable, prefabricated developments. Before assuming the COO role, Adam was SLI’s first Chief Construction Officer, responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of field deployment and construction relating to the delivery of SLI buildings. 

Before joining SLI, Adam was the Director of Engineering & Operational Excellence at Sellen Construction Co. There he led dynamic teams comprised in total of more than 60 individuals and championed the integration of processes across the organization to ensure predictable internal and external stakeholder experiences.  In his nearly 11 years at Sellen Construction, Adam developed an extensive project management resume spanning commercial office, multi-family residential, and healthcare projects.  Notably, he led the SLI 47+7 project which was the first SLI prefabricated building ever completed. 

Earlier in his career, Adam worked for two national general contractors in Los Angeles and began his professional experience in finance working as an investment banking analyst in New York and a municipal bond trader in Los Angeles which laid the foundation for his success in the construction industry. 

He holds a BS in Finance from Georgetown University and a MS in Construction Management from the University of Southern California.  Outside of professional pursuits, Adam finds fulfillment in spending quality time with his wife and three children. He’s an avid enthusiast of all things sports, the great outdoors, and the joy of good food.

Carrie Holmes

Carrie is a seasoned project management leader bringing over 20 years of experience in strategic planning and complex initiatives to execute multi-million-dollar real estate development projects. Her passion is to propel forward the execution of real estate development projects while championing innovative and forward-looking practices that integrate modular/prefabricated methodologies alongside conventional construction processes.

As a Project Executive for Sustainable Living Innovations (SLI), Carrie’s dynamic leadership ensured the alignment of internal and external stakeholders for SLI’s affordable housing projects. She opened lines of communication and established critical development workflows to lead cross-functional teams in design, product development, off-site manufacturing, and site construction facilitating the delivery of SLI’s prefabricated buildings.

In 2007, Carrie started Axis Planning & Development, LLC to offer owners and developers expertise in project and development management services for both public and private commercial real estate projects. In this capacity, she led cross-functional teams in budget and schedule management, obtaining permits and entitlements, stakeholder reporting, and dispute resolution from project inception to completion. Over the course of her career, Carrie has successfully guided over $500 million in new construction and renovation projects to completion, at times overseeing as many as 40 consultants on a given project. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the historic renovation and expansion of the iconic Pike Place Market.

After earning her BA from Washington State University, she began her development career planning a new village at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, followed by growing responsibilities in project and development management for Unico Properties.

Carrie has a deep commitment to serving the community, adventure, and family. She has exemplified this commitment through extensive board services spanning over 12 years. Presently, she serves on the Multicare Behavioral Health Foundation Board, and her past board positions include impactful contributions to organizations such as the Seattle Indian Health Board, Navos, and Seattle Children’s Home. Beyond board endeavors, Carrie’s heart is most often found cheering on her daughter in various pursuits or embarking on adventures with her daughter and their loyal four-legged companion.
